Procurement & Contract Opportunities

Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission procurement policies were adopted to provide for the fair and equitable treatment of all persons involved in public purchasing by CCPRC, to maximize the purchasing value of public funds in procurement, and to provide safeguards for maintaining a procurement system of quality and integrity.Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission maintains a public website that lists open, closed, and awarded bid and contract opportunities.

Vendor Requirements

Prequalification is not necessary, and vendors may register online to be notified of procurements issued over $25,000.00 for construction, consulting, and the purchase of goods and/or services.

Our Small Business Enterprise Program (SBE) policy applies to construction projects at or above $25,000 through the prime contractor and/or prime contractor and subcontractor, with a goal of 10%. We use the Charleston County SBE list and seek small, minority, women-owned firms that meet FEMA requirements.

Local Preference Option

CCPRC has adopted this option for each publicly advertised Invitation for Bid (IFB), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Request for Qualification (RFQ). “Local Business” is defined as a business physically located and operated within the limits of Charleston County and that meets CCPRC’s vendor requirements. Specific requirements and clauses are included in each solicitation/contract.
